KY-Tennis’ yearly meeting 10.11. in Johtocafé

Interested in tennis and ready to join KY-Tennis? KY-Tennis holds its yearly meeting on 11th November in Johtocafé (5th floor of shopping center Kamppi) starting at 15.00. Welcome to join the club and to meeting your new play mates.

LADIES! Dammarit 22.11.!

Hollywood comes to Helsinki! The hottest party of the fall is here! The new mursu-boys are working hard to ensure the girls of HSE enjoy to the fullest extent! They’re here to serve you! Get to the party at KY on Saturday 22.11. The doors to the paradise open at 18.00 and after that it’s one helluva ride waiting for you! Anything can and will happen at this party, all the way till 4 am.

Ticket sales Tuesday 11.11 at KY Basement, doors open at 6.00! Get there early, cause or else some other girl will be very happy on that Saturday… Tickets 13€ including food, drinks and a program that’ll knock your socks off! All night long! The theme is Hollywood and you’re expected to dress like your favorite movie character! You’re the star at Dammarit!

World Issues Discussion Night 11.11.

Are you concerned about the inequity in the world? Do you worry about social issues including human rights and social responsibility? If you are interested in to make our world a little bit better, please come to the World Issues Discussion Night, which will be organized by KY & SHS AIESEC on November, 11 2008. The aim of this event is to encourage students to discuss current world issues and to help them to find suitable solutions.

The event will start at 5 p.m at KY Building, Upstairs (Iso Puoli). At first we will watch a movie called All The Invisible Children and after that we are going to have a discussion about the topics discussed in the movie. A speaker from some big social organization will also be invited to facilitate the discussion. World Issues Discussion Night is a great opportunity for you to find out what is going on in the world right now and how everyone is able to affect global social issues. Besides, you will have a good chance to network.

Please, e-mail us (aiesec@kyweb.fi) if you are coming since some snacks will be served. The fee is only 2€. Feel free to come and let’s have an interesting discussion!

ARENA Career Fair 12.11 from 9.30 am to 4 pm

ARENA Career Fair is the largest recruitment and contact event for companies and university business students in Finland. Arena is organized annually by Helsinki School of Economics and Hanken School of Economics. Arena is an excellent event for companies to meet and recruit business talents and future professionals.

CEMS party – Schools for Africa 13.11.

On Thursday the 13th of November CEMS club invites you to party at Cuba while supporting a good cause. You will get cheap drinks, and children in Rwanda will hopefully get a school!

Tickets can be bought from the HSE main lobby on Thursday 6.11. and Tuesday 11.11. on the 12 o´clock breaks and Thursday 13.11. on the 12 and 14 o´clock breaks or straight from the door. The tickets cost 5 Euros (Tourist Class) and 7 Euros (Business Class). All the money from the tickets will go to building schools in Rwanda in cooperation with Unicef (have a look at http://www.cems.org/humanprojects/schools/index.php). Badges for overalls will be available.

Freemover exchange program

If you are considering to apply for a semester abroad, but would like to see some other location than what is offered by HSE’s list of partner universities, the Freemover exchange program might be the right option for you. Preparations are best started well in advance, as there are many options and practical issues may take a lot of time. You can find more information under Cimo’s website at www.cimo.fi –> In English. Tikelo presents: Mulholland Drive 14.11. 2pm @ Engel

David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive gives people mixed thoughts. Like Lynch’s movies in general, either you love it or you hate it. So come judge for yourself this Friday at 14.00 to Engel (Sofiankatu 4). Free for all, also non-KY members!

Meilahti By Night

The nightly sports event Meilahti by Night is organised on Friday 14.11. from 21.30-03 in the brand new Meilahti sports center of Yliopistoliikunta. Come and challenge your friend to try Bodypump, spinning, badminton, tennis and many many other sports. Tickets bought beforehand 5e, at the door 7e.

Blood Donation 19.11.

Do a good deed and donate blood at HSE on 19.11. Make a difference in someone’s life!

KY-SHS Band Show kuntis @ Royal Onnela 20.11.

On Thursday the 20th of November there will be some cross-academic action between KY and SHS (the Student Union of Hanken, the Swedish School of Economics)! The KY-SHS Band Show kuntis will be held at Onnela in Kamppi. You better take out your dictionaires and prepare yourself with some swedish expressions, because in this kuntis, you’ll definitely need your swedish skills. The event starts at 9 PM and the bands will start to play at 10. Among others, you have a chance to see the performance of our legendary Speksi-bändi!
