That’s it in a nutshell I guess, the coming week, and also a bit into next week. It’s time to take care of your body, mind and soul so why not let your opinions be heard and your body get the workout it’s craving for? And as far as mind goes, the World Issues Discussion Night is coming up next week. Read on for detailed info!

Open up your soul! 3.11-7.11.2008

Feel like you’ve got a thing or two to say bout courses and programs at HSE? Well, say it! On the “Open up”-days on 4.11. and ke 5.11. at 10-14 you can leave written feedback on courses etc. at the main lobby. Cookies and juice and an overall-badge for those who speak up. You can also open up online at http://kyweb.org/avaudu/

Your feedback and critisism will be processed by KY’s KOVA (Committee for Academic Affairs) which is completely formed of students. These people will then pass on the summary of your feedback to the appropriate entities of the school organization. The summary will also be published online at kyweb.org.

Sports and welfare week 3.-7.11.

Sports and welfare week starts on 3rd November. In the agenda there is afro dance, curling and a lot more! Remember to book your places on the events and buy your tickets on Tuesday on 12 and 14 o’clock breaks in HSE lobby. Full program can be found from the events calendar on english.kyweb.org.

On Thursday 6.11. different representatives of sports and welfare present themselves from 10 to 14 in HSE’s lobby. Come and hear how to take care of your well-being.

The Last King of Scotland by Tikelo on 3.11.

This week Tikelo presents a free movie at Orion, Eerikinkatu 15. The movie is the Last King of Scotland starring the brilliant actors Forest Whitaker and James McAvoy. The movie starts at 7 PM and also you non-KY friends are welcome. The movie is free for all.

KY-Tennis’ yearly meeting on 3rd November in Johtocafé

Interested in tennis and ready to join KY-Tennis? KY-Tennis holds its yearly meeting on 3rd November in Johtocafé (5th floor of shopping center Kamppi). Welcome to join the club and to meeting your new play mates.

If you haven’t picked up your overalls yet, this is your last chance!

As the title states, get yours on Tuesday 4.11. between 17.30-17.55 from the KY Basement! If you have questions, mail to haalari@kyweb.fi.

What does Tikelo do?

This is your chance to get to see what it’s like to be a board member of Tikelo. Tikelo is having a board-meeting on Wednesday 5.11. at 14.30 at KY Marskin kabinetti (3rd floor). This is your opportunity to experience what being in Tikelo’s board is like and you can have your say on the following issues on the agenda:
-upcoming movie-evenings: how many, when and what themes?
-the board selection for 2009 in December
-banking issues
-pikkujoulut aka “little” Christmas party/movie-evening 1.12.

World Issues Discussion Night 11.11.

Are you concerned about the inequity in the world? Do you worry about social issues including human rights and social responsibility? If you are interested in to make our world a little bit better, please come to the World Issues Discussion Night, which will be organized by KY & SHS AIESEC on November, 11 2008. The aim of this event is to encourage students to discuss current world issues and to help them to find suitable solutions.

The event will start at 5 p.m at KY Building, Upstairs (Iso Puoli). At first we will watch a movie called All The Invisible Children and after that we are going to have a discussion about the topics discussed in the movie. A speaker from some big social organization will also be invited to facilitate the discussion. World Issues Discussion Night is a great opportunity for you to find out what is going on in the world right now and how everyone is able to affect global social issues. Besides, you will have a good chance to network.

Please, e-mail us (aiesec@kyweb.fi) if you are coming since some snacks will be served. The fee is only 2€. Feel free to come and let’s have an interesting discussion!
